UAE CACHERS GET-TOGETHER

Well this is most certainly long overdue! Springstone has taken the initiative to host UAE's very first Cachers event on 19 December 2007. (GC15AGJ)

Geocaching have taken up most of my "free" time as this is probably one of the most rewarding hobbies one could take part in. Not only do you get to see places that you've never imagined existed, but as time goes by we end up meeting other cachers who share the love of geocaching!

I'm looking forward to a fun-filled day and also of course a few cache hides that will be launched on the 19th!

NOKIA N95

I've had my eye on this sexy phone since the very day I saw it on the Big Screen in the movie-house! Why? Well, it's got a built in GPS! Very convenient wouldn't you think? Geocaching made easy ;)

I was lucky enough to have received one for my Birthday so I thought I'd try it out on the new Dubai Marina Cache. Sadly, I couldn't make it work... not yet! I had to make use of google earth which was so helpful and accurate! You have to copy-paste the coordinates though, as the icon for the cache via geocaching points to a different location. I found the Marina Cache quite easily by just looking at the google earth picture! Amazing!

I guess I'll have to spend some time reading up on the features of this phone before I head out with ONLY the N95 and test it for it's accuracy.

For the time being the Garmin will do :)
